Question
As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh (May Allah’s Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you!)
My problem is: When I lead the people in Salah, I feel terrible fear and confusion to the extent that I almost lose sense, my body gets sweating, and my throat becomes dry. I went to a psychiatrist who proscribed “Seroxat” for me. Thanks to Allah, I have taken it for five months and I now feel better. Will taking Seroxat for one year or more affect my health?
Answer
Dear valued brother, welcome and thank you for your trust.
Seroxat is a good medication and it is the most suitable for your case because it has no side effects for the long run. We have used this medication with dozens of patients who used it for long years without causing them any trouble.
Therefore, my advice to you is to keep taking it for one year then visit your doctor and ask him to take the correct decision for you; and do not hesitate to take it as long as your doctor describes it for you.
I also advise you to read books and articles that develop personality, increase self-confidence, increase one’s enthusiasm and push him forward.
May Allah guide you to the things that please Him, and do not forget us from your kind invocations.
