To have faith before death

Are they waiting for the angels or your Lord Himself to come down to them, or for a sign of His to be given them? On the day when such a sign is given them, faith shall not avail the soul which had no faith before or while believing, did no good works.

“Say: ‘Wait if you will, we too are waiting.’” [Surah Al-An’am, 6 Ayat: I58].
“We led the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his legions pursued them with wickedness and tyranny. But as he was drowning he cried: ‘Now I believe that there is no god save the God in whom the Children of lsrael believe. To Him I give up myself.’ (Allah said): ‘Now (you believe)! But before this you disobeyed and were a wrongdoer. We shall save you in your body this day, so that you may become a sign to all posterity: for most men give no heed to Our signs.’” [Surah Yunus, 10 Ayat: 90-92].

“Until when death comes to a wrongdoer, he will say: ‘Lord, let me go back, _ that I may do good works in the world I have left behind.’ Never! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day of Resurrection.” [Surah Al-Mu’minun, 23 Ayat: 99-100].

“Therefore set your face in devotion to the true faith before that day arrives which none may put out against the will of Allah. On that day mankind will be sundered. Those who disbelieve will answer for their unbelief, while the righteous will make ready their blissful home.” [Surah Ar-Rum, 30 Ayat: 43-44].

“They ask: ‘When will this judgement come, if what you say be true?’ Say: ‘On the Day of Judgement no profit will be to unbelievers if they (then) believe! nor will they be granted respite.’” [Surah As-Sajdah, 32 Ayat: 28-29].
“O my dear son! Say your prayers regularly, and enjoin good, and forbid evil.Endure with fortitude whatever befalls you. That is a duty incumbent on all. ‘Do not turn away from men with scorn, nor walk proudly on the earth: Allah does not love the arrogant and the vain-glorious. Rather let your gait be modest and your voice low: the harshest of voices is the braying of the asses.’” [Surah Luqman, 31 Ayat: 17-19].

“Men, the promise of Allah is true. Let the life of this world not deceive you, nor let the Dissembler trick you about Allah. Satan is your enemy: therefore treat him as an enemy. He tempts his followers so that they may become the people of the Fire.” [Surah Al-Fatir, 35 Ayat: 5-6].

“Did I not enjoin you, Sons of Adam, not to serve Satan who is your acknowledged enemy, and that you should worship Me? Surely that was the right path.” [Surah Ya-Sin, 36 Ayat: 60-61].

“That which you have been given is but the meeting comfort of this life. Better and more enduring is that which Allah has for those who believe and put their trust in Him; who avoid gross sins and shameful deeds and, when angered, are willing to forgive, who obey their Lord, attend to their prayers, and conduct their affairs by mutual consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance and when oppressed, seek to redress their wrongs.” [Surah Ash-Shurah, 42 Ayat: 36-39].

“To God is what the heavens and the earth contain: so that He rewards those who do evil, according to their deeds, and He rewards those who do good, with what is best. (To) those who avoid grossest sins and indecencies and commit only small offences, Allah is of vast forgiveness. He knew you well when He created you from earth and when you were embryos in your mothers’ wombs. Do not pretend to purity; He knows best those who guard themselves against evil.” [Surah An-Najm, 53 Ayat: 31-32].
